VIA strives to reflect the diversity of our member congregations in our Board of Directors. Every year, individual and congregational members of Vermont Interfaith Action elect board directors to begin serving a 3-year term the following January. VIA by-laws allow for up to 9 Board Members and each member can serve up to two consecutive terms. If you would like to apply to be a Board Member or have questions about joining the VIA board, please contact office@viavt.org.

"I joined the Board of Directors to strengthen my contributions to social justice and systemic change. I gained a broader and deeper understanding of VIA’s work throughout Vermont and I formed new relationships. I believe the work I did with VIA was the most important work I’ve done in my life."
~ Virginia Munkelwitz
"I strongly believe in the power of faith traditions to work together to advocate for social and economic justice issues. I joined the board because it plays a vital role in ensuring that VIA has the resources to raise the standard of living for all Vermonters."
~ Rev. Josh Simon
"I love VIA and it's a privilege to serve with other people of faith."
~ Mary Beth Barritt
"Being a member of the VIA board gave me the opportunity to be part of something greater than myself that advocated for the common good from a uniquely interfaith prospective.
The privilege of being involved with a group of dedicated people of faith on the board was a blessing that helped this introvert have confidence to 'Speak truth to Power' in an effective way. It was on on-going learning experience!"
~ Bro. Tom Berube
"I joined VIA & then the board of directors because I was so impressed with VIA's commitment to justice & equality. VIA's carefully planned strategies to solve systematic injustice was something I wanted to be part of."
~ Fran Carlson
